Chemisept HF is ethanol- and chlorhexidine-based colourless disinfection solution for preoperative skin antisepsis and disinfection of non-invasive medical devices.

Chemisept HF has a broad spectrum of bactericidal (incl. MRSA), mycobactericidal (incl. Mycobacterium avium and Mycobacterium terrae) and yeasticidal activity. The product is also active against viruses (incl. HBV, HIV, HCV, BVDV, Vaccinia and Rota)

Chemisept HF contains chlorhexidine, which has a long-lasting antimicrobial activity. Thanks to chlorhexidine unsuitable environment for microbial growth will remain even after use of the product. Colourless composition makes it also suitable for use in cosmetic procedures.

INSTRUCTIONS

Chemisept HF is ready to use and can be applied on the skin by spraying or swabbing.

Skin antisepsis before injections and blood sampling: Apply a sufficient amount of Chemisept HF on the relevant skin area by spraying or by rubbing with a soaked swab. After spraying rub with a swab. Ensure thorough wetting of the skin and let the solution dry. The time of effect is 30 seconds.

Preoperative skin antisepsis: Apply a sufficient amount of Chemisept HF to the operation area by using forceps and soaked swab. Ensure thorough wetting of the area and let the solution dry. Disinfection of the operation area is carried out twice (45 seconds both times). The total time of effect is 90 seconds. Incision film may be only applied on dry skin.

Skin antisepsis before cannulation, intra-articular injection, puncture and arthroscopy: Apply a sufficient amount of Chemisept HF on the relevant skin area by spraying or by rubbing with a soaked swab. Ensure thorough wetting by swabbing for 30 seconds and then allow to dry completely over 30 seconds.

Disinfection of cannula caps and other non-invasive medical devices: spray Chemisept HF on cannula cap or on other medical devices and spread with a single use cloth or swab. Contact time is 30 seconds.
